Dear Patients of AFP Health:
Recently, LA County announced that people over the age of 65 can register to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. As expected, our office has received numerous calls with questions about the vaccine and if it is safe based on each individual’s circumstance or health condition. While we are grateful that so many of our patients are registered to receive the vaccine and help put an end to this pandemic, we are also unable to answer individual questions that quickly while still serving our scheduled patients both in the office and over telehealth.
Ventura County is still not giving vaccines to people 65 years or older. They are still vaccinating healthcare workers and people ages 75 years or older.
In order to help, we have put together a quick guide for frequently asked questions and some resources where you can get more information. We hope this helps answer your questions and continues to promote getting the vaccine when possible.
