TeleHealth Q & A
What is Telehealth?
Telehealth is a new way for our doctors to take care of you. We provide this service for our existing patients. During times of social distancing and trying to maintain your safety, we are seeing patients in the comfort of their homes over video/audio visits. A telehealth appointment will replace a traditional office visit.
Can I see the doctor for a telehealth appointment?
Most conditions can be managed via telehealth appointments. Whether it's for a simple medication refill or if you are having some symptoms, we will do our best to manage most of your care while keeping you safe. In some rare instances, we will ask you to come to the office so we can further take care of you. And of course if you ever have concerns about being seen via telehealth we can always see you in our office with the appropriate precautions.
What conditions can be managed by telehealth?
Here is a short list of conditions that we can manage from the comfort of your home:
- High Blood Pressure
- High Cholesterol
- Diabetes
- Urinary Tract Infections
- Coughs/Colds
- Pain
- ADHD
- Depression
- Anxiety
Will I be charged for a telehealth appointment?
Most major insurance carriers are covering telehealth appointments as a regular office visit. Your insurance will be billed just like a normal office visit. You may owe a copay or deductible depending on your insurance plan.
